‘A Quiet Place Part II’ to be released on streaming sooner

Variety reports that ‘A Quiet Place Part II’ will be released on Paramount Plus 45 days after its theatrical release on September 17. Also, a very happy 16th birthday to Noah!

“Mission: Impossible 7,” “A Quiet Place Part II” and more upcoming Paramount Pictures releases will be available to view at home sooner than expected.

Those films will debut exclusively in theaters as planned. However, the studio has newly shortened the amount of time they will play only on the big screen. After 45 days, new Paramount theatrical films will land on the budding streaming service Paramount Plus. Currently, “Mission: Impossible 7” is scheduled to release in theaters on Nov. 19 and “A Quiet Place Part II” is set for Sept. 17.

The announcement was made during ViacomCBS’ investor day on Wednesday. The presentation was orchestrated to hype up Paramount Plus, which launches on March 4. The platform, a rebrand and expansion of CBS All Access, will have to compete with a glut of streaming service offerings, including Netflix, HBO Max, Hulu, Disney Plus and Apple TV Plus.

‘A Quiet Place Part II’ delayed again

According to Variety, ‘A Quiet Place Part II’ has been delayed yet again. It will now open on September 17.

Add “A Quiet Place Part II” to the growing list of 2021 films that have already been delayed because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Paramount’s post-apocalyptic thriller — directed by John Krasinski and starring Emily Blunt — has been postponed for a third time. It will now open in theaters on Sept. 17.

“A Quiet Place 2” was initially slated to release last March, but those plans were abandoned in the 11th hour as the heath crisis first started to grip the United States. It was most recently moved to April 23, however that date recently started to look unlikely considering coronavirus cases are still on the rise.

Noah is cast in ‘The Magician’s Elephant’ for Netlfix

According to Deadline, Noah has been cast as the voice of Peter in an upcoming animated movie ‘The Magician’s Elephant’ for Netflix.

Based on two-time Newbery Award-winner Kate DiCamillo’s novel of the same name, the film marks the directorial debut of veteran visual effects artist Wendy Rogers (Shrek) and is produced by animation vet Julia Pistor (The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie).

The film will follow Peter, who is searching for his long-lost sister, as he crosses paths with a fortune teller in the market square. His one one question is: is his sister still alive? The answer, that he must find a mysterious elephant and the magician who will conjure it, sets Peter off on a journey to complete three seemingly impossible tasks that will change the face of his town forever.

Jupe will voice Peter, Wong will play the Magician and Davies will be Peter’s sister Adel. Today, we can also reveal a first look at the film.

Noah joins Steven Soderbergh’s ‘No Sudden Move’

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Noah has been cast in Steven Soderbergh’s new heist movie ‘No Sudden Move’, which began production on Monday.

David Harbour, Noah Jupe, Kieran Culkin and Brendan Fraser have joined the all-star cast of Steven Soderbergh’s heist thriller, No Sudden Move.

With a script by Ed Solomon, Sudden Move is set in 1955 Detroit and centers on a group of small-time criminals who are hired to steal what they think is a simple document. When their plan goes horribly wrong, their search for who hired them – and for what ultimate purpose – weaves them through all echelons of the race-torn, rapidly changing city.

‘A Quite Place II’ release delayed

Due to the coronavirus outbrreak, the release date for ‘A Quite Place II’ has been changed. No new release date has been set. Read more at Variety.

John Krasinski and Emily Blunt’s thriller “A Quiet Place Part II” has been delayed amid concerns around an escalating coronavirus pandemic.

The film, which is released by Paramount Pictures, was slated to roll out internationally on March 18, with a U.K. debut scheduled for March 19 and a North American release set for March 20.

Paramount has not set a new release date for the film yet.

“After much consideration, and in light of the ongoing and developing situation concerning coronavirus and restrictions on global travel and public gatherings, Paramount Pictures will be moving the worldwide release of ‘A Quiet Place Part II,’” the studio said in a statement Thursday. “We believe in and support the theatrical experience, and we look forward to bringing this film to audiences this year once we have a better understanding of the impact of this pandemic on the global theatrical marketplace.”

Krasinski also released a statement that reads, “One of the things I’m most proud of is that people have said our movie is one you have to see all together. Well due to the ever-changing circumstances of what’s going on in the world around us, now is clearly not the right time to do that. As insanely excited as we are for all of you to see this movie .. I’m gonna wait to release the film till we CAN all see it together! So here’s to our group movie date! See you soon!”
